December 22, 2017
I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! While December usually means a brief pause from weddings before the new year brings newly engaged couples eager to plan their 2018 weddings, this month has felt like a blur of preparing for the holidays and filling custom wreath and holiday centerpiece orders for customers. We really let our creative juices run free for these wreath orders, and I thought I’d share a few of my personal favorites and share a bit about how we chose to design them here on the blog!
Some of my favorite details from these wreath projects are the natural accents of pine cones, berries, and greenery. Adding these accents to your wreath base adds different textures, fills out the wreath, and gives your wreath more of a unique design.
Personally, when I plan my Christmas decorations, I love adding the splash of red to tie everything together and add some interest. Other color options for your wreath could be ivory/white, gold, or champagne, and whichever option you choose will completely change the design of your wreath. Choosing the color you want pulls the entire design together!
We also threw in some printed ribbon and light neutrals for a few of the designs. For the lighter neutral tones, we used sheer ribbon and thinner ribbon for a more delicate and balanced design. We used big, bold ribbon for the red-themed wreaths. Using a textured ribbon or ribbon with a pattern adds that little extra touch to the wreath design!
The Posey Detail team and I had so much fun planning out creative designs for these custom holiday wreaths!
