Ringing in the New Year with My Top Three Weddings from 2018

By this time next week, 2018 will be here, along with dozens of client consultations for upcoming 2018 weddings. So many things have happened in 2017 that were milestones for me and The Posey Detail, including opening our very own studio right here in Madison, that I thought I would finish up 2017’s blog posts with featuring three of my favorite weddings from 2017!

1. Megan and Chris’s Outdoor Virginia Wedding 

I absolutely adored the small details of Megan and Chris’s wedding! They were married outside on the land where they intend to build their dream home when they settle in Virginia, which made the day extra special and the perfect way to embark on their bright future together! A few of my favorite details from this wedding were the uses of distressed wood on the tables and throughout the decor to make a warmer, rustic feel for their reception.

2. Rachel and Michael’s Rustic Farm Wedding 

Rachel’s purple-coordinated wedding party posed in front of a massive ivory barn is such a fantastic image and perfectly explains why I loved this rustic barn wedding so much! The color palette blended perfectly and the bride’s classic A-line bridal gown was to die for!

3. Lindsay and Nick’s Blush and Gold Wedding 

How could I not include Lindsay and Nick’s wedding at Morais Vineyards when even the bride’s wedding dress included touches of gold? For Lindsay and Nick’s big day, I incorporated soft blush tones in Lindsay’s flowers to pair with gold as two of Lindsay’s primary colors. I could not get enough of the gold floral pattern on the skirt of Lindsay’s dress. It really tied the entire design together!
